Tell us about your business – what do you do, and who do you do it for?
Direct Cars Taxis. We are a taxi company based on Camperdown Industrial Estate, serving the local Area 24/7 established in 1984.
What were the early days like?
We operated out of a much smaller rented office (we own our own space now) with only 1 car and now have a computerised fleet of around 80 taxis serving three local authorities with school contracts, local public transport and employing staff to run the operation 24 hours every day.
How would you describe your industry to someone outside it?
Fast paced, relentless, people focused, customer service oriented.

Why is being based in this area important to you?
We have served North Tyneside for over 40 years as a taxi provider and we are happy to serve the local community.

Our customers need and rely on our consistent and consistent service so we are always committed to serving them 24/7.
